Dear Jim:

On behalf of the Board of Directors, I want to thank you for the fine job you did recently on the expansion project of the Boyertown Area YMCA.

You have helped to make a dream of our community come true. Because there is no other indoor swimming pool in the Boyertown area, I am sure you can understand why the community was very excited and supportive of this project. Since the opening of the expanded area, hundreds of people of all ages use the YMCA each day. Children and adults are learning to swim; people are improving their cardiovascular fitness by participating in lap swimming and aquatic exercise classes; arthritics are finding relief from painful everyday movements; and special population people are achieving personal bests.

While the construction of walls, floors and rooms has been completed, the building of people continues. That is what the YMCA does best. We build character, values, self-esteem and respect for others.

Thank you for being an important part of our YMCA expansion project. It was said by many to be a project that was impossible; it couldn’t be done. But it was! It was done! And it is wonderful!
